Donna Kay Swann
I’m a southern girl from Georgia! I love being outdoors and barefoot. Sunshine is a favorite of mine; I am solar powered. For the past twenty-seven years, I have been teaching early elementary, where there is never a dull moment! Early in life I learned the importance of Faith, Family and Laughter. These are my mainstays in life.
Faith
Growing up, my family was very involved in church. I have always known about God and He has always been a part of my life. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 10. However, it was later in life that I truly understood the term “walking daily with God.” He is my strength and joy. He has blesssed me, and my cup runneth over. My desire is to share His love with others.
Family
Family is very important to me. My extended family is huge and extremely close. My christian heritage runs deep. Karla and I have been best friends since we were 10 and 11. Jack is my husband. I have grown children: Emily (and her husband Dalton), Travis (and his wife Maddy), Tucker and my step-daughter, Sophia. Travis and Maddy honored me with the title “Nonna” to Eden and Evangeline.
Laughter
“Laughter is the best medicine.” It has gotten me through many a difficult time. Laughing til it hurts (or at my age, til you almost wet your britches) is one of the most wonderful feelings. A life full of laughter is a full life.
